Re: AK vs. double-paired board
I would have bet the turn and folded to a CR, in my opinion there you may have been able to pick up the pot right there.
If he called the turn he'd be less inclined to bet out on the river so you...

Re: Going back from 6max to full
Initially I found the switch quite difficult as well - I experienced going from full table to 6-max being easier because I was focused on playing more hands and remaining in the mindset "I probably...

Re: Shorthanded 3-6. AA in a big pot.
You are quite possible beat, but pot is massive and you have the highest overpair. It would sting but I would proably call.
You possibly have 2 outs for a set, if he hasn't made the straight.

Re: need tips on improving stats.
PFR% should be at least 10% but preferably around 11-12 if you are comfortable with steals in LP, raise with any decent hand on the button if you are first to enter.
Whent to SD is too low, 30-32...

Re: Auto-fold this river?
I wouldn't fold a 19BB pot holding the flush, he could possibly just have hit trips with his ace being happy with that.
You only need to beat him 1 out of 8 times here to make this profitable (or...

Re: the gods conspire against me.
First error is limping in UTG with A8s.
Secondly, MP2 will most likely be the one to raise if you bet on the flop hence forcing signle high hearts out by other players. It is tempting to...

Re: How can anyone 8 table?
I have recently gone from 4 to 6 tables at 3/6 with about 80k pokerhands in total behind me. I use 1600x1200 so I can fit four tables in full screen and 2 tables that I have popping up during action....

Re: What would you do?
I admit that I should re-think my preflop play on that hand.
The outcome:
Hero went all in - BB was sitting on pair of aces, UTG AK and Hero missed the flush and was knocked out...

What would you do?
15 people left in a 300-entry poker tournament, NL Hold'em.
Hero is on button with 12000 chips, others range from 5-40000 in chips.
UTG limps in with blinds at 1600, everyone folds to Hero who...

Re: Value Bet?
I would probably check the river, river could be exactly what one of them has been waiting for completing flush draws and a couple of straight draws.
(At the same time I'd be very tempted to bet...

6 max vs 10
I'm thinking that 6max may be better in 1/2 and 2/4 than a table full of 10 people in order to reduce the chances of callers and coldcallers hitting mad straights with 52o etc.
I have discussed...

Re: 4 hands from tonight\'s sessions...
I would have check called the river on hand one - and I think with the pot being decent it's definitely worth it. I've won in many situations like that when I was "sure" I was beaten by a flush and...
