Re: JJ hand #1

I would raise preflop to get try to get the bb out and take the lead. The way you played it I think I agree with you about the river.

Re: correct preflop call ?

I think this is an easy fold in a normal game. I also think "putting him on AK" might be an excuse you used to justify calling him. Nothing in the post indicates he should have AK and if you thought...

Re: give it up?

Is your equity that great against 4 opponents who could have every over card imaginable? And I don't know why else to check the turn that's why I was asking, lol. I feel like I do have tigh/weak...

Re: give it up?

I knew I would get a weak tight comment on the preflop line, but against two limpers I think the 9's are best played for set value here. What should be the reasons for my postflop line then?

Re: What\'s the fastest you\'ve ever dropped 100 bets online?

I got down about 150bb playing 6 max in 5 hours or so. The first 100bb was probably legit, but the last was definitely "i gotta get it back syndrome." Take a break for a few days would be my advice...

Re: give it up?

I just call this preflop. The turn is a tough one, but I think after all the calls on the flop you're probably beat.

Re: KJo limper catches middle pair.

I think I would fold with no reads. The pots small, there's a flush draw and a straight draw on board. KJo is a difficult hand to play I agree. I fold it in early and middle position or maybe raise...

Re: QJo Heads up - Am I a Donkey?

I think u played it fine. I don't think I could reraise the turn w/ that board.

Re: 99 on the button

I would fold/reraise depending on the raiser. I think it's a fold with this player in UTG and another player along to see the flop.

Re: 44 in EP

You didn't have 5 callers in this hand. If you weren't expecting multiple callers you should not have played it, right? This would be a decent flop for you, but the chances of the fours standing up...

Re: 44 in EP

If you usually get 5 callers on PP then I agree with the call preflop, but how can you say that you aren't playing it for set value especially if u expect 5 callers. What flop can come against 5...

Re: 44 in EP

So limping and getting 1 caller plus the blinds is enough to justify this play preflop?

Would anyone fold this preflop or is Party that loose?

Re: Raising stratigies on lose 3/6 Cardroom games

It won't knock many people out,but how many more callers would you have if u didn't raise? 3/6 live is insane and a lot different than online(atleast at pokerstars). The swings are big in my...

Re: Does number of limpers matter?

It really depends on the type of game. I use Hilger's online(at Pokerstars) and in the looser games at a B&M I tend to use Miller's. I limp w all pairs from any positions, Axs,etc.

Re: passive line with TPTK with nutflush draw

I think your play is fine. The stop and go on the turn usually means your pair is not the best hand in the games with which I'm familiar.

Re: am i a wimp?

Slowplay when the pot is small and there is a chance of someone making a second best hand. All the draws to be made beat you. Bet the bejesus out of it.

Re: Top two pair vs a bunch

If I was the raiser from the bb i would bet the flop. If, on the other hand, I had called a raise with AQo in the bb then I like the check raise on the flop. Either way, I probably ch/call the river.

Re: 10-10 home game

Never played anything like that, but wouldn't it make small pairs played for sets and connectors less valuable because you're paying more up front to hit??

Re: A Bankroll Question

My philosophy is along the same lines as pokerstud. I have my bankroll and when it gets bigger I move up. If you don't mind putting in more cash when u have a downswing then don't worry about it, but...

Re: Axo in the SB

I always complete with it and I would prefer a small field. I'm hoping to hit my ace, win a small pot, and move on. My thinking is that many hands with an ace are raising hands, so if the field is...

Re: two TT hands vs aggression...do you fold these?

With no reads I think I would play the first hand the same way you did. If I knew the player was tight with his turn raises I could fold to that raise.
On the second hand, I probably fold to on the...

Re: Calling Down TAGs

When I said ch/call the turn I was talking about him. I guess I go back to my point if you are that sure you are behind then you should call and then c/fold the turn, but I would three bet the flop....

Re: 88, middle position pf raise

I hate being out of position on this hand. I would bet the flop and probably ch/fold the turn on my better days, but I wouldn't bet the river if I decided to bluff the turn.
