Celebrity Poker Showdown Finals
This is ridicilously hilarious. Colin Quinn calls to the river with pocket fives and hits his miracle five. Bonnie Hunt pushes all-in ($6,000) into a $800 pot after hitting trip aces. It's such a...

Re: KK hand: good or bad?
I think checking on the flop is okay. You don't want to bet and then be check-raised out of more money. I would of, however, raised him after his bet on the turn to see where I was in the hand. The...

Re: PP against 1 over OOP.
I completely understand and agree with what you're saying. But you can't just sit back and wait for the nuts and expect to make money playing poker. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: PP against 1 over OOP.
And checking provides you with what information? I'd much rather make someone pay for their draws, then give away free cards. That's the biggest mistake you can probably make in poker.

Re: Hellmuth\'s WSOP final table
He cashes in many of the tournaments he enters but he hasn't placed first in them. Placing first is much more important to Phil, primarily his ego.

Re: PP against 1 over OOP.
On that board, you bet out. You don't want to check it around because the King serves as a scare card (You raised in the BB, so you can easily represent King/strong kicker) or the others might be...

Re: How many of episodes of tilt will there be?
Tilt has only increased the popularity of poker if anything. Playmakers showed more of the dirt that exists under the surface in the NFL (drug abuse, violence, etc.) The NFL wanted to maintain a...

Re: Poker Tour Workings
I'm sure all hotel accomodations are covered for the pros. That's why they love travelling to places like Tunica to play in the WPO. The money and prestige are just bonuses on the side.

Re: WSOP Early Events
Send them the money about 4-6 weeks before the event, you'll avoid waiting in a huge line and I'm sure they will have more staff handling registration since it's closer to the actual event day. Good...

dannyocean, it's called a slump. All poker players go through bad periods (whether it be bad cards, depression from it, etc.) You got your money in with the best of it, bad beats and happen and...

Do they account for the other cards that were mucked, because they know what they are?

I believe they do. When they show the hole cards of players who eventually mucked,...

Re: Toronto Life Mag - Daniel Negreanu article
Seems like lifestyle magazines in Canada are far behind U.S. standards. They dumbed down the game of hold'em so much and made so many mistakes. I'm surprised Daniel wasn't forwarded a copy before it...

Call. My philosophy is you're there to place first, so going out 350th or 117th doesn't make much of a difference.
