Re: Last hand before the break
I didn't feel that strongly about it. But I did think it was a dick move since he called for the deal discussion. I had a King and might have called the raise otherwise.
Nevertheless, I proved...

Re: Interesting Hand from WPT Aruba
Another line might have been to simply double MP3's 2000 raise. That would have been enough to fold out SB and MP1 if they were gonna fold out.
If they both fold, then MP3 certainly has odds to...

Re: Suppose you knew in advance
There are 3 big stacks with Ms of between 8 and 10. The rest of the table are bunched with Ms between 5 and 7. With the blinds as high as they are, it will likely start fast and there won't be a lot...

Fair enough.
I Final Tabled the Paradise Masters III. I get to take a $7000 vacation to play poker for a $240k first prize. I have several weeks to hone certain areas of my play and am asking...

Re: Suppose you knew in advance
OK, Thanks. Since I am in this situation for a decent amount of money, I thought my 2+2 friends might be able to provide insight.
Such as: Focus on hand winning percentages against any random two,...

Suppose you knew in advance
that you would be on a Final Table for a decent amount of money. You knew who the other contestants were and you knew the positions/stack sizes. The only intangible is where the button will be....

Re: 7th break
Yeah, it was pretty frustrating. I had a couple of push/calls towards the end, once with 77 and the other time w/AT against a shorty (doubled him up). Mostly, when I made a move I caught a piece or...

Well,
I final tabled it and will be going to ... Tahiti sometime next month. It was a good tourney for me, but the last hour I went completely card dead and am in 9th position chipwise.
I owe...

Re: Sanity check battle of the blinds hand
I agree you have to lead this flop, but I don't think you have to lead for so much (120k). You can probably bet 75k and fold out a lot of hands. If he calls, you have to proceed judiciously, but you...

I just think the times it takes down the pot uncontested make up for the times you have to walk away and make it +ev. But you are right, the hand isn't going to win too many showdowns.
