Besides raising preflop, I think you should have raised on the flop when button bets, if he reraises you'll have an easy fold, if he calls you can either check/fold or bet/fold on the turn, the same...

I was at a SnG the other day where this guy gets AA and takes it home, the next hand he gets KK and takes it home. The very next hand he makes a big raise preflop and everybody folds and he shows QQ....
