Re: Early in touraments
Read Tournament Holdem for Advanced Players (or something like that) by Sklansky, then read Harrington on Hold Em volume 1. Then play some more hands.

Re: Tournament Hand Evaluation
If you only think your opponent will make that play with those hands, I see no reason to call the re-raise. Going by your thought process you should have folded it when he re-raised, but that's...

Re: Weak ace in the blind
I think the guy has stones to make that kind of move. He also apparently reads you well.
I think your read of him in this scenario is fine, but calling w/ A3o when you have someone else (who...

Re: What Tiffany Willaimson did right
I have to give you credit Tiffany for coming in here when everyone's slamming you (including me in a post or two) and responding. Kudos girl, and congrats on the high finish.
BTW, the 2+2 books...

Re: Weak ace in the blind
The problem you have in your justification is that you're ignoring the gap concept and you could lose a lot more money when you're up against another Ace than the money you win when either player has...

Re: Darden vs Juanda Bad Beat (no emotion hand)
Amen, that was a horrific beat, and Harmon also handled it pretty well. Amazingly, her opponent turned into an ass when he hit acting like he might get knocked out with the stone cold nuts.

Re: WSOP has become a joke.
Do you not think that perhaps she was saying that to try to get a reaction from him? She was looking at him as she said it. If he's got Aces or Kings, she's in big trouble and if she can somehow...

Re: Silly little question
You can also rebuy at Party when you have less than 1000 chips which is usually a pretty good strategy.

Re: Small stack - Is this the correct play?
1) I don't like pushing when I have > 8xBB at early points of tournaments where a lot of donks may still be playing and I don't have a premium hand. (I'm making an assumption on the tournament...

Folds em.
But this seems too obvious to me and I know you're a good player and I'm not.
At this point you're...

Re: RESULTS
At least if you bet the flop, you have a better idea of where you stand rather than checking the flop and betting the turn. Since you showed weakness on the flop after raising preflop, it's fairly...

Re: stealing blinds
You want to steal from medium-sized stacks. Small stacks are likely to call/push, costing you more money. Your raise will likely price you into calling short stacks raise and now everyone knows...

Re: AQ hand - is this standard?
The ten outs come from 4 4's to make his gutshot, 3 queens and 3 aces. I personally, don't think he's got ten outs though. Given the action, I'm thinking MP may have a set or already have the...

Re: AQ hand - is this standard?
Yes, you should raise preflop. You almost certainly have the best hand. The hand becomes much easier to play postflop when you raise preflop. You've taken control of the hand by raising preflop.

Re: Stairway to Heaven or Highway to Hell
I'm no tournament expert, but I've played a fair share of low buyin tourneys and this does NOT appear to be the way to build a stack. The way I've built a stack is playing tight, playing hands where...

CO, if a complicated ML player could be raising a merely decent hand if he/she feels MP2 is weak and wants to isolate. That's pretty advanced thinking typically for this limit and the players you'll...

Folds.
You've been called on every bet since the flop...your opponent can probably beat ace high.
