If yes, I think pushing is good. My logic is if his range of reraising range here is ONLY AA, KK and AK, I am still a 60/40 favorite 16/28ths of the time and a 20/80 dog 12/28ths of the time. [/ QUOTE ] Your logic is flawed. If his range is AK, KK, QQ only you should fold. You are a 60-40 DOG against that range even though you are slightly ahead over 50% of the time. That being said, I don't think you can put many people on that range at 24+2. I push. Although calling and getting them all in on the flop isn't terrible. Flat calling and folding on any A or K flop is VERY weak tight especially getting 2:1 if he pushes on the flop. does UB have 80-160 blinds? |

Your logic is flawed. If his range is AK, KK, QQ only you should fold. [/ QUOTE ] I know I am a 60/40 dog against this range (only AA, KK, and AK), but I am risking 1500 to win 3600 chips. Even if I knew for sure I was a 70/30 dog against his range, pushing would be slightly positive EV. 30 percent of the time I would win 3600 and 70 percent of the time I would lose 1500 -- (.3 * 3600 - .7 * 1500 = 30 chips). Also, regarding the blinds at UB, they are weird but nice compared to Party. They increase slowly and by increments less than 2. Leads to deeper stack play further along in the tourney than I'm used to -- with the benefits of more room for post-flop play etc. |

ok fair enough. I assume if you don't fold you are going all in at some point. So your risking 2500 to win 3500. Regardless, I play UB, and from experience, I think your range is wayyyy to tight unless you have a specific read.
