I think that you can get your accounts re-opened.

Explain to them that your "gambling problem" is that you cannot fit 12 tables at the same time onto your monitor, hence hindering your gambling.

Tell them that when you wanted to close your account due to a gambling problem that you just wanted THAT one closed so that you could 8-table using the other skins, and would not need their skin any longer.

As I see it, they should re-opend each account immediately.

I would withdraw the money from Eurobet for now. Once it hits NETeller, I would call them and come clean about why you wanted the account closed (so you could open a new one). You might fib a little and say you wanted to change your screen name or open a Party account instead or something, rather than talking about affiliates and rakeback.

If they're going to close your accounts for good, you've got nothing to lose.

Default Update - part two

I transferred all my funds in the Eurobet poker to their sports section then withdrew to Neteller with no problem. Hopefully the message from Empire was an idle threat. I'm going to wait a couple of days then try redepositing and see what happens. I've got to play in the Grannie Mae shootout on Paradise anyway during this 'downtime' so its not like I'm going cold turkey.

I am also happy that I have succeeded in amusing so many of you. It is pretty funny I guess. It will probably be even funnier if I have to call support and beg them to reopen my account because my 'gambling problem' is that I'm unable to gamble.

I've got to come back and edit this because I just noticed I'm now a veteran - woohoo. Salute me, boys! I know some of you achieved veteran status in the first month of posting on 2+2 but as I've been beernutz here for 2 1/2 years perhaps it means a bit more to me.

between your little amusing situation and the whole bit about 'setting your own deposit limits' that comes up when you make a transaction now it seems that party is trying to take steps to address gambling-addiction.

Not really much to it of course....but prominently displaying these measures gives them added legitimacy. when an article is written about 'gambling-addiction' and someone from party is contacted for an interview they can now point to all the anti-addiction measures they have in place 'just like a real casino' (or whatever).

I agree that it's a good idea to get your money out of the party-skins....then try depositing $50 or $100 or something small and screw around on the 1/2 games for a day or so....and then come back a day or two later and make sure you can still log-on.

The problem though is that sometimes party and skins are slow to catch up on things.
I refer to the other thread where the guy in France had his account locked...even though he had been making transactions from there for 4 months.
Ther have been other situations where party says 'we noticed that you have such-and-such account in common with someone else' and the poster here says that he cleared this up with party 2 years ago but for some reason it set up a red-flag again.

In other words....there is still the possibility that euro will come along sometime in November and say 'we got word from empire that we need to close your account due to your gambling problem.'

Again...you should (emphasis on SHOULD) hopefully be able to get your funds out if they do this although it could be a hassle.

Obviously I would be very careful with the amount of money you keep in Euro from here-on.
even though I think it's a slim chance something would happen in November...you are at greater risk than the rest of us now.

I also think that anyone trying to close an acct for rake-back and the like should avoid the whole 'gambling problem' language.

When I did this on a skin a few weeks ago I think I said something like "I'm playing more on other sites and have found that having accounts on so many sites is unnecessary" or something like that. Not sure....even if this isn't what I said it probably would be a better idea than using any language about your 'gambling problem.'
