Default Oh sh*t - what have I done?

I wanted to close my Empire account which did not have rakeback so I sent a request to info@Empirepoker.com to close it saying I had a gambling problem. I get this in reply (bold added for emphasis):

Dear XXX,

Thank you for contacting us.

This is to inform you that your account has now been closed. It means
that you will not be able to login, make deposits or be able to play on
EmpirePoker.com.

If you have any other questions/concerns please write to
info@EmpirePoker.com with the subject line of your email as
"GameSupportę or call us at our toll free number +1 800 852 4719 (for US and
Canada only) and ask to speak to ęGameSupportę.

Please note that if you had accounts on any of the sites that share our poker system, those have also been closed.

--end message--

I had just opened a rakeback account at Eurobet and had nearly $1500 in it. I haven't been able to check it here at work but has that one been closed too? I guess I should ask, has this happened to anyone else when trying to close a Party skin account? GD, I may have found a way to f-up a perfectly good rakeback account.

Ouch, I haven't tried to close one myself, but as a quick answer to see if your eurobet account has been closed, go to their website and try to log in. That should show you if it is still open or not.

They can't hold you back from your funds just because you've stated you have a gambling problem right?

But it is possible they can keep you from ever playing at a Party skin ever again, because of this "problem" of yours.

Yikes.

yes, this should not be a problem.

btw, is "game support" a key word for them for clients that have a gambling problem? i bet it is if he was asked to put that on emails and use the term if he calls.

Default Update - whew!

I am able to log into Eurobet and my $1523 is still there so I guess I'm ok--thanks for the suggestion. Ameenddin did manage to momentarily scare the &?$% out of me.

if it were me, i would withdraw this for a few days and see if you can log-in later in the week. they may just not have gotten to it yet.

certainly you can go 4 days without playing eurobet, right? should not be a problem... unless of course you have a problem.

Good idea, I'll do this now. No I don't play as much as I used to as I'm kind of burned out on poker at the moment so going that long without playing is not a problem.
