I pretty much agree with everyone else that you should call this river bet.

Someone once told me never to fold a set unless it's 2 bets on a 4-flush board. I think that's pretty good advice.

Oh yeah and you can always suck out on the ocean.

Do you raise this pre-flop to try and isolate UTG +1 ?

yes, since there is only 1 limper in the hand and im in LP, I'm raising to try hpefully get the pot HU. The last thing I want to do is just call and encourage the sb to come along, and the button to see the flop for free.

Is 77 the cutoff for this play?

I mean, would you raise w/ 66 here, 55?

I'd say 77-66 is my cutoff, maybe 55 if the limper is kinda sucky and/or passive. I'm sure some people go even lower, but I'm not *that* confident in my post-flop play. The beauty of it is that you don't always have to even hit the flop to win.

As a deafault play my cutoff is 66. Depends on the limper and how tight the blinds are tho.

any pair I'm playing in this spot is getting raised tho. Its either raise or fold.

How about A5? Not that I'm saying he should fold, he shouldn't. I just think that a pair with an ace is his most likely holding.

I would not raise there with less than 99.
But I see your point, I guess this is just another situation I am too passive.

Would if matter if UTG+1 is tight? (I guess you would rather raise to isolate a loose player than a tight player?)

Depends. A tight player is more likely to fold the flop if it misses him..
