Re: Scancardsnow.com

Consider this, though: loading the software on your computer could very well be planting the very trojan needed to transmit YOUR cards to their server.

What causes a \'losing streak\'?

I am a firm believer in math, EV and pot odds. Virtually no superstititions of any kind. But I am getting killed time and time and time again and this has been going on pretty much since the...

Re: AQs on the button

I was UTG+1 with JJ. Button called my all-in and caught an A on the river. I was just wondering how many would have made that call. I was playing tight aggressive and had won every showdown for...

Re: AQs on the button

Sorry, should have been more explicit.

It's a full ring game with 10 players. Heads up after the second raise (i.e. all others fold).

Re: ANOTHER POT ODD QUESTION

Calculating by percentages is a difficult way to calculate pot odds. It can be done, but it's very easy to make mistakes.

Instead:

80% to miss vs 20% to make = 80:20 = 4:1

You need the pot...

Re: General QQ question

I like to think tight-aggressive, but [shrug].

Re: General QQ question

Beginning to sound like an argument instead of a discussion. Let's agree to disagree?

Re: Is this too tight ?

Suited middle one-gap in MP? Actually, that's a little bit too loose for me.

But after that flop, definitely not too tight to muck it. Most likely you are already beat. And far more cards...

Re: QQ - Do you call this guy here?

[ QUOTE ]
I don't see SB folding to even a $3 raise. I think if he raises $3 then SB pushes all-in . THose MF'ers are crazy.

[/ QUOTE ]

I really like calling SB's short stack all-in here ...

Defining your hand is never good because it allows your opponents to make fewer mistakes. You want to define their hands.

AQs on the button

UTG+1 raises 3x BB
On the button you re-raise another 3x his bet with AQs
UTG+1 goes all in for another 5x your bet.
Chip stacks are almost even.
Heads up, do you call?

Re: General QQ question

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the question, because key information is not included: i.e. how do they bet other opening hands? I am assuming that they always open for a 3 bet including AA and KK. ...

Re: QQ - Do you call this guy here?

I think a 3x raise is appropriate. A 6x raise would pretty much kill any action except perhaps from a hand definitely better than QQ. I think I would rather make the 3x raise to get some action,...

Re: Pot Odds Question

I believe that you are taking theory too literally. If you are getting 10:1 odds, you do not actually have to play that hand 10 times to receive your net expectation. In fact, chances are that you...

Controlling the size of the pot is crucial here with a hand you don't want to play for you stack with.

Re: help with a hand

OK, let's say you raise. Button will probably fold. BB is going to call with TdJd. Hand doesn't change substantially. Any other changes?

help with a hand

I've been having a lot of trouble with hands such as this one and I need to figure out where I'm playing them incorrectly.

Live no-limit $2/$5 game at the Bellagio. A few players are absent and...
