Re: HU Puzzle
Well this is my stab at it:
Assume we are dealt 32o, our opponent moves all in
Let x in thousands be our chip count now
We assume we are a 2-1 dog, 33% to win
If we call our expectation of...

Re: Problem playing JJ / QQ (2 Hands)
Im sure everyone will say this, but flop on hand 1, thats a weak raise if I saw it in a game I'd pounce on it with or without cards. Raise a decent amount (like to 100 at least), then if he calls you...

Re: Were these 2 plays terrible?
I definitely call the first. BB could do this with any pocket pair which you like (60 hands), three you dont (12 hands), or AK (9 hands). So even if you think he wouldnt push with 22-77 etc its still...

Re: Pretty strong hand. $100+9
Id do the same too.
Trouble is if in the unlikely event we end up all-in with someone else on the flop we're the underdog.

Re: Is this too weak tight?
Oh yeah, move all in:
4/5*24/56 + 10/23*32/56 = 60% of the time we lose nearly all our stack.
Clearly this is a great time to go all in.

Hoho. I do a degree in maths (I found the number of threads working out the % of cards flopping etc very amusing). Mathematically, all those saying he should do anything but fold here are just plain,...

Re: Heads up play - - help
Probably best to go play loads of heads up sngs, keep playing until you win 90% of them at the 10 dollar level (if you play 10 games you should only get 4 non-idiotic opponents at that level).
It...

Re: UB SNG format change
Practically all the NL MT tourneys seem to be turbo these days too. I think they should have a 'slow' 100$ one on a weekend or something, an all day affair.

Re: 2 big decisions, one fold, one call
Well, on one of the hands I made the 'wrong' move, on the other I made the 'right move'. But I'm not gonna say yet which way round it was, because at the moment I still believe I did the right things.
