Re: average hand turns into big hand
Can someone explain to me why everyone wants to cap the flop so badly? Everyone said they would do it so I guess it's probably the correct play....but with 5 players, I would probably just check-call...

Re: Agressive $25 NL games
I have only played full ring $25 NL, so these situations are always 9 or 10 handed, not 6. I would raise 99 or AQ for sure in 6 handed, probably in any position. The problem again is the low stack...

Re: Agressive $25 NL games
Thanks. I understand and have heard the 10% rule for trying to flop sets. More often it's calling with hands like 99 and having a flop of 10-5-2 or even 7-3-2, that I'm not sure what to do with. I...

Agressive $25 NL games
Hi all. First post over here, I've gone from playing mostly tournaments back to low limit NL, where I started making a little money last year. I normally 4-table on party, with mixed results,...

Re: How to prepare for tournament?
Defintely good luck.....congrats on winning the satellite. Sounds like you know the game OK...just remember to be patient, and don't be afraid to get all of your chips into the pot when you think...

Harrington\'s book
Sorry if this should be posted in the books section, but just wondering who is reading Harrington's new book and if it is any good. And, what people think the best books are on strictly multi-table...

Re: serveral hands for comment
1: I prefer to either try the limp-reraise with AA or to raise more preflop. That being said, you have to fold to two all-ins with that coordinated board. You are most likely drawing very thin, but...

Re: Party vs Stars vs Empire vs Ultimate Bet?
It depends on how low you want the buy-in to be.....when I first started I loved pokerroom, because they have tons of $5 and $10 MTT's. Now I play more on party's $20 and $30's. Both sites are pretty...

Re: Did I play this wrong?
At this point in the tournament I will usually limp with big hands in EP because a lot of small stacks will push speculative hands trying to double up. That's just my preference though. With that...

Re: Tournament hand
Thanks for the replies. Kuro, you're probably right on needing to push preflop. I am probably a little weak tight myself. Sam, you're right about him not caring about my checkraise. I saw the 29k...

Re: Would you have made this play 50+5 Large Caps
You have only 4x the big blind and the money isn't increasing for a while....I'd say no brainer push here. You need to double up or win some blinds at least, this seems like a good hand to do it....

Tournament hand
3 hours of work down the tubes on this one. Pokerroom $5 MTT, 297 entries, down to 13 players. I was chip leader with about 40 players left, but a couple of unsuccessful steals and cold cards leave...

Re: Small satellite semi-bluff
I kind of like the play, considering the blinds will eat your stack in the near future. You most likely have the best hand or the best draw, unless he has something like an ace and a heart or a...

Re: KK on the bubble - Sat Final Table
I just push. UTG will be almost forced to call, and you are almost definitely way ahead. I would guess that everyone else will get out of the way, sensing that they would get to the semifinals if you...

Re: Advice on 5 hands
Hand 1: Crazy that 3 people called the 150 raise. With all of those callers, someone has hit something, so I fold like you do. Take note of the calling stations at this point.
Hand 2: I'd...

Re: Pocket Queens on BB
I agree, you must call here. I would put the two all-ins on a big ace (maybe any ace) and/or pairs smaller than queens. They each have to push very soon with a wide variety of hands because of their...

Re: Tstone $125 :: Trip Jacks
Personally, I just push right here as well. Flush draws can still be tempted to call 600, even though it is not correct to do so. It might be better to just call mathematically, but I just want the...

Re: flopped top set, now what?
You should play it the exact same way, and not get so unlucky. Some people will call any amount with flush draws, and there's not much you can do about it. You got your money in the pot as a pretty...

Re: Need help setting up 4 table tournament
Your players must have a lot of free time on their hands! Why spread this out over a week? The WSOP main event is about that long, with 2500 players this year. If at all possible, I'd recommend...

Re: Call All-In vs. shorter stack, or fold - AQs
I think most would agree it is mathematically correct to call, but sometimes it's easier said than done when risking half of your stack. You have to take chances in a tournament, you have a pretty...
