Default RETURNING TO MY ROOTS...

Hello,

Today ( 6/24 ).. I may be at Foxwoods sometime in the late morning/early afternoon... I will not be in my usual games though. I am going to take up Andy's suggestion and have a few beers. So I am going to have some fun and sit in a $1-3 stud game.. If any of you 2+2ers read this and wanna say hello, I will be wearing a Marande Acura hat..

This should be interesting.. I can't remember the last time I ever sat in a $1-3 game.

The more intersting part will be seeing how long I can stand the game.. LOL

CJ

I sat in one in Feb. for about 1/2 hour while waiting for a 5-10 seat and it wasn't much fun -- the structure is too messed up. But last week I played 1-5 for about an hour with my friend and it was a blast. Horrible, horrible players, but very sociable. Didn't you used to crush those games?

Eek. All the 1-5 stud players at my local casino are all old quiet people. Not fun at all.

That's the 1-3 game here. The 1-5 at Foxwoods has a .50 ante (same as the 5-10), so it's a gamblin' game.

Is it just me, or do young people not play stud anymore?

Generally, I think that's true. But at Foxwoods last Friday (my first time there in about 4 months) there were more stud games and many more young players in them. It's great -- almost all young stud players really seem to suck. It's great getting revenge for the time I spent (spend?) being the fish as I learn he.

Personally, its just really weird for me to be sitting down on a table where everybody is like 3 times my age, which is why I've stopped playing stud live.

I watched and contemplated playing 5/10 stud last night and it was like watching shuffleboard, only everyone was sitting. Everyone had obviously played with each other for about as long as I have been alive.

Default MY RETURN TO $1-3 STUD...

Well I went up to Foxwoods this morning drving my new Acura RSX-S.. ( made record time )

Walked in.. Looked at the $1-3 games...

Decided beer wasn't worth it..

Went to my 'normal' $10-20 game

Walked out 7 hours later.. $711 richer...

Now I am drinking a Heinekin as I type this..

Later,

CJ

P.S. -- If anyone happened to look for me, I am sorry.. I forgot to bring my Acura hat with me...

Was this at the Players Club? A 60+ guy I play stud with on the commuter train told me that game was all old folks.
