What am I missing here?
Thanks to a hypothetical question in one of the other sections, I ran A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] against the 3 combinations of pocket Aces it could face in the odds calculator on Cardplayer.com. To my surprise, the percentages came up differently every time!
So, I need to know, what am I missing here? There should be no difference between A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], and A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], right? None of those cards alter the drawing possibilities of the first hand. All are equal to one another in terms of possible draws. So, what changes? Or is this just a case where the "calculator" is just a simulator that spits out the results of a sample? |
