This was in a small, home game tourney, with mostly beginner players.
I receive AQ spades in late position (6-handed at my table), and raise, get called by limper in front of me. Flop was Q T 6, no spades. Caller checks to me, I bet out about pot size, get called. Turn is a J. Caller bets out 500, which was overbetting the pot. I had about 875 left, and he had me outstacked. This guy I know is a beginner, but I didn't know much about him as it was fairly early in the tourney. What do you do? The only real options are to fold or raise all-in in my opinion. Unfortunately, I made the wrong call and folded. I showed my AQ, and he showed my pocket 7's. Do you make this call against a rookie like that? |
