Default Flopping the nut flush and slowplaying.....

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) converter

saw flop|<font color="C00000">saw showdown</font>

MP1 ($$8)
MP2 ($$28.80)
MP3 ($$12)
<font color="C00000">Gomez22 ($$26.90)</font>
Button ($$14.75)
<font color="C00000">SB ($$23.85)</font>
BB ($$31.75)
<font color="C00000">UTG ($$30.80)</font>
UTG+1 ($$24.15)

Preflop: Gomez22 is CO with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls $.25, <font color="666666">1 fold</font>, MP1 calls $.25, <font color="666666">2 folds</font>, Gomez22 calls $.25, <font color="666666">1 fold</font>, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(5 players)</font>
SB checks, BB checks, <font color="CC3333">UTG bets $0.25</font>, MP1 folds, Gomez22 calls $0.25, SB calls $0.25, BB folds.

Turn: ($2.15) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="CC3333">UTG bets $0.75</font>, Gomez22 calls $0.75, SB calls $0.75.

River: ($4.40) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="CC3333">UTG bets $1.75</font>, Gomez22 calls $1.75, <font color="CC3333">SB raises to $3.5</font>, UTG calls $1.75, Gomez22 calls $1.75.

Final Pot: $14.90
<font color="green">Main Pot: $14.90, between Gomez22, SB and UTG.</font>

When the river paired the board, I was more concerned about UTG having a boat, hence my call, then SB raises!!! Then UTG called, and I was floundering here for a few seconds until I decided to just call it, and if my slowplay cost me the pot, it was gonna cost me the pot....

Thoughts?

I think you still might want to get some more money in there. At this point, neither of those guys thinks you have a flush (due to your slowplay on the flop and turn). They may think you just had the [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A and were trying to hit, and then were betting their two-pair or set. If you're gonna slowplay all the way down like this, you gotta play a little bit fearlessly, and you can't always assume that every card makes someone's hand, especially at lower limits when people don't know what they're doing. Although, if you really felt like one of the two had the goods, then I guess you should just call.

Default I think there are better lines

raise the flop when you are sure the lone diamond draws are going to call. Get your money (and hopefully theirs) in when your ahead.

I think there is a clear value raise on the river.

Default Well . . .

i guess the slowplay isnt bad, but generally when you slowplay, you are supposed to bet the river big, i dont think these guys are betting strong enough to be betting a boat, so i reraise to 7, if i get rereraised, i call it.

I think that the quarter on the flop and 75 cents on the turn is one pair that turned into two pair or trips. I think he would have bet more with a set or two pair to get the diamond draws out.

well, i think pokerstars is more sane than party, but i have seen a lot of allin bets with trips on a 3-flush board on the river. this happens after a few raises, of course. i still wouldn't raise it on the river. then again, i am a pansy on the river. oh yeah, at least min-raise on flop and/or turn to build the pot. how are they going to call a huge bet on the river when the pot is $2????
