Default More frustration over Foxwoods dealers

Stupid, annoying stuff like this happens practically every time I go to Foxwoods. This time it only involved $7, but was still aggravating.

A player lost all his chips except for 7 $1 chips. He got up to leave like he busted out, and as he was leaving another player mentioned the $7. The busted player waved his arm in disgust and clearly stated "I don't want them," as he walked away.

After he left I said "why not just throw them in the pot?"

The dealer then grabbed the chips and put them in the tip box. As she was doing this another player said, "yeah, you take them."

I should have called the floor over, but I didn't because at the time I felt that slowing down the game over $7 would be petty. Anyway, does anyone know the correct procedure in this situation?... Also, would it be against the rules to strangle a FW dealer or two for continued incompetence and (now) angle-shooting.
