How to play in the passive game?

I am playing in a .25/50 NL game where everyone is limping for the blind. I am playing my tight game, but when I get a hand and raise it to 2-3, everyone folds and I'm getting no action. It has the feel of a low-limit game where alot of hands are going to showdowns with little raises, if any.

In order to get some play, should I be limping in with the marginal hands to see the flop and come in under the radar if the flop hits me (in addition to playing my big hands strongly)?

Or should I just stick to the tight/conservative game?

Note: I just started playing this week, so I can't get too fancy!

in late position, i think you should play a lot of drawing hands.

I would say that if everyone is folding to your 2-3 dollar pf raises, you should start randomly steal-raising if you are getting so much respect. Do this until you get some more callers on your raises, then tighten back up. Also, as the other guy said, you can loosen up a bit in LP. If everyone else is playing basically any two cards, you can loosen up a little bit (with stuff like Ax and K9 etc.) and still usually have the best hand preflop.

Limp in with these, or raise?

Is it cool to limp in all positions with these and simply fold to the raise (if I'm out of position or the raise is of significance)?

i think for a drawing hand to be profitable, you need to be in late position, so you always know how much its gonna cost to play. plus, you can control the action postflop. this doesn't apply as much to pocket pairs. i'll limp with them from anywhere.
