Default Fo Guck Yourself

$500 at clown college A.K.A:

I get AJo in MP and make it $25. EP limper 2 coldcalls. $100 pot 4 to the flop.

5 6 8 raindow flop. We check to the button who bets $20 in to a $100, impressive.

Unsurprisingly everyone calls. Leaving EP with $90 in a $200 pot.

Turn: Ko.

I bet out for $100.

I would have bet bigger if I were going to bluff the turn. You're giving a 7 odds to call (or close, anyway) and I would be afraid that somebody would call with an 8.

If this is 10-handed I would fold pre-flop.

I don't like your line here. It's too likely that the king helped someone.

i don't think many people would call with just an 8.

J-

Ok, so knowing you and the hands you post, your bluff probably took it down, and when we all say we don't like the line you'll defend it, and, well, it worked, so what can we say?

That being said: I don't like the line. I'd probably muck preflop. Bluffing into 3 players when the king hits might be ok, and is a play I like to use with a smaller field. You only have to take it down 1 time in 3, its a natural card to represent, and you still might have outs if you get called. On the other hand, it does seem like there is a good chance someone has a king, and EP might call you down with a weaker (but still winning) hand b/c his stack is so small. Also: you may have a read on the button to the contrary, but sometimes the underbet on the flop is from a big hand (set) trying to drum up some action. So I'm not a huge fan of the play.
