Default A Newbie Casino Whore\'s 1st Weekend Trip Report (Long)

Following the recent outbreak of posts on here regarding casino whoring I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and give it a go over the weekend. As there seem to be many other newbies doing the same thing I thought I'd do a quick report on my experiences, as there were a couple of things that didn't go exactly to plan. This post probably doesn't offer much to the experienced whores out there but there were one or two instances where I hit minor snags which I'd not seen mentioned in the advice.

For reference on what to do/where to go I've been using the recent posts on here, Homer's site and wizardofodds.com as references, all of which are excellent (as many of you already know).

Site 1 - Lucky Nugget
I ended up doing the $50 for $200 bonus in US Dollars as the information on the site indicated that I'd get a different bonus in UK£ (this appears not to be the case judging by others' experiences so don't miss out like I did!). Basically the luckynugget.com website shows $200 for $50 being the bonus but the .co.uk site shows a £50 for £50 bonus instead. This scared me off the UK£ option as I thought the 'loophole' might have been closed but this appears not to be the case.

Anyway, I deposited $50, waited 24hrs for the $200 bonus and then autoplayed 5000 hands of $1 blackjack. Final result $253 for a slight profit on play. It took about 4-5 hours to complete and, when I checked in on progress my bankroll had fluctuated between about $150 and $330, which gives an indication of the level of variance attached to this game.

Having exceeded the requirement I blew some of the profit on the Jacks or Better VP whilst refreshing my memory of the strategy from watching the autoplay and, after waiting another 24hrs or so (by which time I'd hit some of the sites below), cashed out yesterday. The cashout is still in progress but I don't foresee any problems.

Encouraging start.

Site 2 - Starluck Casino
I decided to avoid hitting all the Microgaming sites in a short space of time so moved instead to Starluck Casino, who offer a $100 for $100 match. The best game to play per Homer's site is Vegas Strip BJ on the non-download version but I couldn't get this to load up. Instead I settled for the Downtown version on the download.

The WR is 8x and, unfortunately, there's no autoplay available so I increased my stake to $2 and ploughed away. After a few hands I checked the logs which appeared to be recording my play sufficiently. However, I subsequently discovered that, like Party, they only give you your last 100 hands. Therefore, I very quickly lost track of where I was with regard to the requirement.

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the best cards in the world and, over 2 sessions on Saturday and Sunday, watched my bankroll steadily fall towards the initial $100 deposit. At the point when it hit $100 exactly I contacted support via Live Chat who confirmed that I'd met the requirement by then. I therefore put this one down to experience and cashed out for a break-even situation. Incredibly the cashout hit my Neteller account in about 5 minutes which beats all records set by the poker sites!

In reality, had I tracked my play better I'd have made a little money from this site so I'd recommend it with the caveat that you need to keep your own tally of your play.

Site 3 - Planet Luck Casino
This is another Party-owned site and the play experience was virtually identical to that at Starluck. Again it was another $100 for $100 bonus and, once again, I couldn't get the non-download page to load (I did manage to get a menu of non-download games to appear and Vegas Strip BJ was not on it - perhaps this is no longer available?)

Again I settled for the Downtown Vegas download version and, having learnt from Starluck, kept a manual tally of my hands played. I started playing at $2 and increased this to $3 after 200 hands (I decided I could live with the slightly higher risk of ruin in return for potentially higher returns). After a few hours play over 3 sessions I'd met the requirement, finishing at $237 for a slight profit, which was pleasing considering that the version of blackjack was not the best (no doubles on 9's, no split after doubling, etc).

One minor irritation I did have was that the site kept losing the connection (its comes under the Party umbrella after all!!!) This slowed things down a little and got annoying when it happened a few times in quick succession but wasn't too much of a problem in the grand scheme of things.

Again I played a few games of VP and lost around $20 before trying to cash out. Unfortunately I'd been so efficient that I hadn't allowed 8hrs to elapse since my deposit so the cashout was rejected. It will therefore have to wait for another day although, again, I don't anticpate any problems.

Overall, a much better experience, having learned lessons from Starluck.

Site 4 - Casino On Net
This $200 for $1000 bonus is relatively easy to work off, needing only $400 of play. I'd delayed going here until I'd tried out some lower deposit sites first but, by now, I was comfortable with what I was doing.

I deposited the $1,000 - rattled through 100 hands of $4 blackjack (again, no autoplay). This version is much better than that at Starluck and Planetluck as you can double down on 9's and can double after a split and I finished up about $40 ahead.

I subsequently took a look at the other games out of intrigue and played a few games of craps, among others. I know little about this game and was using Mason's Fundamentals book as guidance and sticking to pass line/odds bets. However, I did discover that the site allows 3x stake on the odds bets (which I believe is quite generous) so I thought it was worth mentioning. It certainly seemed to me to be a reasonable bet as I had a good run of luck and made a bit of profit playing minimum stakes.

Due to the large chunk this site took out of my Neteller bankroll I will probably look to cash some/all of it out this week. Again it was a fun few hours, with a added bonus of a slight profit from actual play in addition to the bonus.

Summary

Overall, it was a fun weekend. I was able to play my usual Party SnG's while playing Blackjack and it added a bit of variety to 'the grind'. I decided to up my risk by increasing my stake slightly (I followed the recent Ed Miller vs the world post with interest!!) on the non-autoplay games. My next site will probably be River Belle, after which I might give it a rest for a bit in order to avoid raising too many eyebrows. I'm conscious about doing too many of these in a short space of time, particularly as 90% of the Zooer's appear to be doing the same thing at the moment. The Microgaming ones are a particular concern in this respect as you have to submit a request to get the bonuses so they are obviously doing some background checks.

Basically, I was a total newbie to this sort of thing before Friday and my experiences to date have been positive. Hopefully this post might re-inforce the excellent advice from Homer, Adde and others for which I am grateful whilst helping people avoid some of the slip-ups I made.

Any suggestions, thoughts, etc gratefully received.

Nice cherry pop.

Re. CON. They take about 7 days to cash you out, so you may want to initiate the cashout quickly.

You may want to consider doing UK pounds when you can in the Micros, for an added 80% output. I believe you can just select the appropiate currency to play after you signup thru the best bonus offer at the different country sites. These are history long ago for me, so I can't be 100%, but I believe it is accurate.

I have done Lucky, Belle and Gaming club in a week, got all three bonuses without problem and cashed out on 2 of the three sites after putting through the requirement again without any issue hit my neteller account about 48 hrs after request. So I dont think they are that bothered or rigourous on the checks.

I have whored Lucky, riverbelle, Captain and Casino Kingdom over the weekend for profits of $229, £158, £283 and £162 respectively. NETeller credits recived for first 2, 3rd in pipeline and final I've left in until CaptainCooks hits NETeller. A nice relatively straightforward £700ish!

when you say you "ended up about $40 ahead" at Casino on Net, do you mean $40 profit on your $1000 deposit, or $40 ahead of the $200 bonus?

I meant $40 ahead on the actual blackjack play, so up $240 after the bonus is taken into account.

whilst refreshing my memory of the strategy from watching the autoplay

fyi. it is easier to learn perfect strategy by using "auto hold" and not auto play. auto hold is the same perfect strategy but it goes at your pace. this gives you ample time to look carefully and absorb the suited gap plays etc.
