So by calling on the turn it was a correct play with +EV right? And this next hand was correct to fold? Why did you check-raise the flop?

dont worry about the turn.
your flop play was poor. you had the pot odds to call your GSD(adding 1 out for runner flush), but raising makes little to no sense. |

You have an inside straight draw and a backdoor flush draw. You do not have a betting hand. If you wish to continue in this hand (which is probably not advisable), you're going to want to go as cheaply as possible.

Ok...think I see what you guys are saying -by raising I was not giving myself the correct pot odds. I made it worse. A check/call would have been ok? or bet?

I suck at math, but how are you getting 8 outs.
1 for the back door flush, 4 sevens. Where's the other three? Hand 2- fold preflop. |

I did not consider the flush once the Jd hit on the turn. I calculated 8 outs after the turn - needed a 7 or Q to make the straight on the river. 7777,QQQQ = 8 outs.

Hand 1: What is the flop raise trying to accomplish?
Hand 2: Fold preflop, Call the turn. |
