Default Newbie\'s PokerTracker Stats and questions

Hi,

First of all, thanks for all the helpful advice I've gathered from this forum, it has greatly accelerated my learning curve. Now that I’m done sucking up , would it be possible for someone to take a look at my stats from Poker Tracker and see if there is any obvious leaks. (These are from playing about 6000 hands NL .25/.50 at various sites)

Generally speaking, am I folding too much at showdown?
Also, what other summary stats should I be looking closely at?

Thanks in advance

Vol $ %: 21.5
Saw Flop SB: 42.2
Folded SB Steal: 78.6
Folded BB Steal: 55.6
Att Steal %: 19.4
Won % WSF %: 29.1
Went to SD %: 16.7
Win % at SD: 53.2
PF raise %: 7.1
Folded to River Bet: 79.6

Hello Hudat,

In my opinion, I dont think you can read anything from these type of stats. Worse, I think it means you are looking at the game incorrectly.

NL is a game of people and a game of aggression. Pure and simple.

For example, you asked: "Generally speaking, am I folding too much at showdown?"

This comment cannot be answered in its form and it shouldnt even be asked.

If you are looking at showdowns in NL, you should be asking.

1) What hand can I put my opponent on given the action and are my reads generally good?
2) Am I showing the proper aggression or am I calling my money away?
3) Am I bluffing with the correct frequency?
4) How do I get the most money from him - if I check will he check back or raise? If I bet is he likely to call, etc.

Can you look at the table and can you rattle off the playing style of every player at the table? That is what you need to strive for! As TJ says, reading opponents is the most valuable skill. Do not worry about whether you are folding too many showdowns.

Good luck!

Utah
