Default what would it be worth to stars to have 1st & 2nd ?

after the moneymaker win last year, a 1st and 2nd would be something.

however, is this a good thing or a bad thing for attracting players? who wants to play nothing but world champs? or will they play there to do exactly that?

more importantly, i now know why i can't win at stars.

Hi
This will be graet in attracting new players.
With 4 players at the table
Last year espn spent 2hrs showing the final table.
They repeated it a dozens times at least.
if they do the samething this year.
The fish will come big time.

thank you

I beleive it is going to establish Stars as the place to be for Online Poker i.e. good online poker atleast. They should be seeing a lot of new people coming in, and I wont be surprised if the fish population there increases.

On the other hand, this would mean, atleast 4,000 people in next WSOP, with shitloads of amateurs.

I would have loved one simple pro to be 1st and Stars to be 2nd, 3rd

too bad their software is embarrassingly ugly looking.

They should really clean it up for the new surge of players that will be coming

one more question for everyone.

assuming they go by chip count, and it gets heads up, do YOU chop??

with 8.5 between 1st and second it seems silly NOT to chop as long as concessions are made for chip count. maybe espn won't like it, but TS, this is not the WPT. (should there be a no-chop policy at the wsop?)

also, if they do chop, they still play for the bracelet. who wants to bet espn would never mention that there was a chop?

I don't undestand this thing about belonging to an online site.

First, most players play at many online sites. They just hapen to hit a satellite at one particular site.

Then, thay pay for their entry. The only thing stars is giving is free accomodation for a week (and some don't even give that). As they buy hotel rooms by hundreds, the probably get a very good deal, so what is that "accomodation" worth? 500$ at the most? Less if you have to share the room with another player.
And because of that they own your image for infinity?

Looks more like blackmailing to me! I'll gladly pay 5 more dollars for the buy-in and keep my freedom, but we don't have that choice!

The truth is that they can do whatever they want, as they are in a banana republic whith no ethic laws, and they exploite that to the ultimate.

i think sam farhah said a similar thing last year. i wonder if he regrets it now? seriously? i know he has said publiclly that he felt he had the best of it and has no regrets, but a guarantee of an extra million (or whatever) for second, and a GUARANTEE of winning more than second pays for the chip leader is a tough call for me.

this is why i am currently in my floral camisa watching a 20 minute avatar delay instead of being there, but that is irrelevant.

I Don't think it will matter that much. Having the WSOP champ last year didnt exactly turn stars into a fish magnet.

That and isn't ESPN blacking out all logos at the table, who is even going to know they are from stars?

If anything its going to be who has the most commercials during the coverage that will get the fish most likely
