Wow. Greg must have tangled w/ another big stack very late and come out on top. Nice work.

Table 109 Seat 1 MICHAEL MCCLAIN $1,001,000
Table 109 Seat 2 MARTIN FEIJO $421,000
Table 109 Seat 3 MATTIAS ANDERSSON $558,000
Table 109 Seat 4 BRADLEY BERMAN $337,000
Table 109 Seat 5 GREG RAYMER $1,807,000
Table 109 Seat 6 JOSH ARIEH $1,280,000
Table 109 Seat 7 DAN HARRINGTON $1,536,000
Table 109 Seat 8 ROBERT JARRETT $1,310,000

32 left, there's a redraw at 27. Until that happens, this is going to be THE table. Millions more chips on this table than any other. And with five quality players w/ > $1M stacks here, big chance for someone to come out of here w/ a huge chip lead going into the big, big money.

Good luck, Greg.

Another chip-heavy table for Greg, amazing. This is developing into quite an interesting story.

ADDED: With so many chips at that table its surely will be the featured ESPN table if they aren't filming all the tables now. Makes you wonder a little.

Go Greg!

Peace,
Joe Tall

What is the proper strategy for Greg at this point?

Avoid tangling with other big stacks like Harrington, and coast to the final 2 tables?

Or play great hands whenever they come, and hope they continue to hold up?

The blinds/antes must be quite small compared to his stack size.

Proper Strategy for Greg?………

I don’t know if there is such a thing that can be defined succinctly, but, knowing Greg as I do, here’s what I believe are relevant pieces that will determine what he does……

- Greg plays a “big stack” extremely well. He will steal with impunity when he believes the opportunity is right.

- He has the “math” down cold. I have seen very few who can match him at this.

- He knows the difference between “chip EV” and “$ EV” at this stage in a tournament, and will make the correct decision when faced with those dilemma’s.

- His “reads” are very solid…..He is not fearful of making a read and following through on it.

- He will be very analytical, and has the ability to “playback” action(s) of others and draw a good conclusion.

Taking all of the above into account, he will focus on making “good decisions”.

Default Wow!

When I woke up this morning and saw that Greg is 1 and Dan is 2, I was just floored. A top 2+2 poster and a future 2+2 author. Sometimes the cream rises to the top, even through a field of 2600.
Just an amazing story.

Best of Luck to both of these truly great players.

Default Biggst prize ever?

If Greg wins the WSOP this year will he be the owner of the biggest first place prize in the history of poker? I can't recall another event that even came cloes to 5mil for first place.

He's out of position and should wait for the redraw. All the money is on his left.

yes....it's well documented that the size of the field, the amount of the prize pool and the amount of the 1st place prize have all far eclipsed any previous poker records.
