Default Vienna!

Just won my seat on intertops today, Austrian Masters ho! I'll be there with Daryn.

Anyone know if there are any legal issues at hand, given that I'm 20 years of age?

Great job!!!! Who were you at the final table? I was watching as I got knocked down earlier. I was pretty down about it because I took some really rough beats.

Nope not in. Why did you think that? I will try next week. There was one huge mistake at the final table where the third shortest stack could have posted and folded and had a good chance to get in but he raised once and cost himself the trip.

Why did you think that?

i thought you were in that "cubs goes to austria" thread looking for airfare. oh well, my mind is noodles. keep at it, i guarantee you can make it if you keep trying. the beats will even out. there is enough qualifying opportunities that it will just be a matter of time. i honestly was going to take a shot myself until i realized the field will be too tough for making the trip worth the expense.

i predict you will qualify on next attempt. please let me know if i am right. i got that "fantasia feeling" on you. just the fact i already thought you were in means it is a mortal lock.

i'll expect you to ship me some pastries BTW. not any twinkies type shiit, some real austrian sweets.

Granny,

My heart is going pitter-patter. I feel like this may be the beginning of a love affair between us.

Like Kelly Clarkson might say, "Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this"

If I make it I will send you the best sweets I can find.

Seriously though how tough will the field be? I see a good bit of the qualifiers come from Intertops and many seem to be of dubious quality. OTOH I am worried many European pros will make the trek.

This was my first qualifying attempt, the main reason I tried was I have always wanted to see Vienna, I hear it is a beautiful city and the chance to go would make the tournament +ev for me.

Not to hijack this thread any further but if you want to continue our affair, stop by to the Empire 25k guaranteed (ClaudioReyna).

i was there a century or so ago when i was 18. it was a decadent blast and must be even better now.

ok, there is a cheese shop at the corner of some major intersection where there is a big hotel and a park. (you can find that place, no?) i remember ir distinctly.

i'll have a sheet pan of Napoleons and 5lbs of the finest DOMESTIC alpine they have. don't send me no damn cheap swiss cheese. if it is not aged at least 200 days, it is garbage. make sure it stinks good, and use fedex.

remember, when it comes to cheese, mold is a GOOD thing. however, when it comes to the pastries, this does not apply.

Congratulations for winning an entry into the *Austrian Masters 2004*!!

I've got a little problem.

I can not attend the event and I received the following as a reply when I inquired if I could sent a representative. Anybody got any suggestions?

Thanks.

"In response to your email, we would like to inform you that, the entry
is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

The $2000 includes, (ý1,050 buy in ~ $1,300 + $700 travel expenses).
...
You will receive US $700 to cover travel and accommodation expenses for
the tournament in Vienna. Both have to be arranged by the player
himself. Collect your expenses at the tournament registration desk in the
Concord Card Casino (You will need to produce ID or the confirmation email
to prove your identity)."

It seems you're trapped here. Attend or forfeit, I see no other way
