I'd fold this unless the other guy would likely pay me off on the turn if the board pairs, in which case I'd call not raise. His CK-raise flags his flush.

I need to add that the re-raise after the flop did not necessarily mean a flush. . . this player is capable of reraising with as little as the A of [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

With that $32 bet he earns the $6 I put in the pot pre-flop.
Note: Repeat: I'm a newbie trying to learn. Please shoot my reasons down. That's what I want. |

I will answer as soon as you tell me what range of hands you put him on when he raises a $10 better to $32 on that flop.

6-6, 3-3, naked A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], I figure it's 65/35 against a flush + the extra equity of him laying down a smaller flush, which he almost did. . .not to mention if he calls with 6-6 or 3-3 I'm heavy favorite. . .I think I have to push or fold there, any thoughts?

You made it too easy for him by raising. If he has the flush he calls, otherwise he folds. IMO that raise indicates a strong hand, and you only have $6 in the pot. It's a clear fold to me.

IMO that raise indicates a steal on a scary board with a pre flop raiser on the button auto raising the flop. . . . If I call I'm stuck when a diamond falls. . IDK. . . .Just because this person raises doesn't mean he/she has the flush. . . I lost my stack though. . so my logic obviously did not turn out to be true. . .

IMO that raise indicates a strong hand, and you only have $6 in the pot. [/ QUOTE ] I'm failing to understand why you've mentioned that $6 twice. It's in the pot. It isn't anyone's money anymore (yet). This kind of thinking will only serve to hurt you in the long run. |
