Default how\'s online high stakes going 4 u?

I've been playing the 10/20 and 15/30 online for a while now and have been quite successful although the swings can be pretty crazy flopping sets and loosing but I've made some good money at the games. Anyway my question is how have u been doing as far as $per hour or bb's an hour, but i'm very curious as to the variance. Is it common for you to win or loose a grand or two at a 15/30 online table or are your swings much more mild?

You hate loosing when you flop sets? I thought I was the only one.

There's about 246546 posts on this topic. Try searching the archives, especially the general hold'em forum, I think. You could start with davidross's posts.

For a quick answer, many people report win rates of at least 1.5bb/100 hands, and some report up to 3.0bb/100. Typical standard deviations are around 15-18 bb/100.

But again, use the search function. That's what it's there for.

Seriously, why did you go back to playing this game if you were so convinced that it was rigged? That really confuses me.

i was convinced by the posters here that the game was on the up and up. anyway, i decided to try it at my best game, which is 15-30 10-handed. i dont mind playing short handed, as long as it is a 10-handed table potentially, because the best short-handed players play at the 6-man tables.

thats the reason i started again. certainly glad i did. the trick i have found is getting a good read on the regular players and keeping careful players' notes.

so, i have all of the fine posters on this site who play at Party Poker to thank for the recent success.

I don't know about your variance, but I do know of some surefire ways to destroy your win rate...

theriverwild: well at least u guys are observant every time I raise (The tighest player here) u all fold

theriverwild: hey xxxxxx

theriverwild: that's not why u bet the river
theriverwild: it's not a bluff
xxxxxxx: then what is it intended for?

Fair enough. I agree w/ you re: playing full tables that get short. I hate switching tables, though, so I just play the 6-max.

Lol, I love to correct the play of my opponents at the table. I feel soooo much better about myself afterwards. So what if table-coaching stems from deep-seated insecurity and an almost pathetic desire to feel knowledgeable

LOL

If i'm not mistaken that was a 3/6 game or something not a real game. Please go back to the low stakes forum. 3/6 isn't high stakes. I have no problem talking to players in low limit games about optimum play. I know I come off like an ass but if I make your 3/6 game harder I don't care it doesn't effect me. It's not how I make my money so I have no problem talking about theory and play while at the table. NOTICE THIS IS THE MID HIGH STAKES FORUM. If i ever make a comment like that in a game that I play for something other than the enjoyment and relaxation I'd think that's dumb but 3/6 I really don't care. LOL Please stick to a forum that you can speak intelligently about.
