how to play AQ

I'd love to hear some advice on how to play AQ, I really don't know how to play it. Sometimes I bet it strong, sometimes I limp with it, I play mostly short handed $25 NL tables at party. According to poker tracker I have lost the most money with AQ. Should I not plat it like Doyle? Should I play it like Ak? Any advice would be great, thanks in advance, I love this forum.
