That sucks man. I think you got a bit out of line on the turn though. That call on the flop would have really scared me. I think you made the turn bet a bit out of frustration. Tough beat.

When the blinds are this big in relation to the stacks, I prefer to just move in rather than make a pot-sized bet. The 900 bet on the flop is almost half your stack, might as well just move in. Makes it much harder for the 5 to call, and if he does you have him drawing very thin with a chance to have half the chips in play.

I wouldn't make that flop call, but for a turn in the discussion, I would have moved all-in on that flop if I were the small blind. I probably would have moved in preflop as the SB or the BB after you limped.
I find these situations where there are three close stacks to be easy pickings for stealing. -Michael |
