Default Flop bottom two pair and fold. Right or wrong move?

I host a home poker game.
Stakes: $20.00 max buy-in
$0.25/$0.50 NL
6 handed game, Im in middle position with 2 4 off suit.
I play loose and aggressive switch my play up all the time.
4 people in the hand total, Me, Button, BB and SB.
no raises preflop = $2.00 pot
Flop comes 8 4 2, rainbow.
SB checks
BB - All-in for approx. $30.00
I have low 2 pair - dueces and fours.
I look at my chips, I have approx. $60.00
I look at the pot, $2.00.
I think about for several mins
I've played with this guy before. He's tight. He has his own style in which he usually goes all-in preflop with low pocket pairs, and bets appox. 2 times the BB with KK or AA.
So, i put him on A 8.
But in the back of my head I think he might actually have
top two pair with 8 4. I think I have the best hand but fold anyway.

Comments on this fold to a $2.00 pot?
I actually felt like a better and more mature poker player after laying it down.

If he's tight and playing his "free" BB then yeah, I think it's safe to get out. Getting basically even money on your call doesn't seem good with bottom 2 pr.

I dont think playing one of the worst possible starting hands quailifys as mixing it up. Case in point, hit two pair on the flop and still had to fold.

Sublime...

Umm... did I say calling with a 2 4 was mixing up my play? I said I play loose though. Wouldn't calling with shitty cards be considered loose?

this is hilarious. guy is playing 24 offsuit, hits a beauty of a flop, and puts the other guy on precisely 84o and folds.

can i get into this game?

It would be considered loose or poor play. Depending on who responded to your post. Its a bad move bro.

If you would not call here why did you play the cards?

Also, why don't you consider his $30 as part of the pot?

Bad fold. Did he show his hand?
