I would rather bet the turn and check the river. What hand that's beaten is going to call?

Care to elaborate?

It's hard for me to go into detail of all the possibilities of what could have happened. What do you think is going on in this hand?

Yes, people will call you on the river with as little as bottom pair. Many posters lose valuable value bets because of this weak thinking.

Strange hand. With no reads everyone seems to think betting the river is the play but I can't help but think you lost this hand to something like a 2 pair. Then again, I always think that in big multi-way pots.

I see where you're coming from, given the way the hand actually played out. Since the turn got checked around, a river bet would have value. But, my original post said to bet the turn, and (I sort of implied) check on the river if the turn gets as crazy as the flop did. I think you're misunderstanding me.

Your going to bet into a 4-bettor on the turn when the most likely draw gets there? So it looks you are behind on the turn if you weren't before.

In a big pot like this? Anybody with an Ace is going to call.
