Default How many reraises?

You can only lose to quads. How many reraises against

1. solid player
2. the others

I just assumed that a solid player without the nuts would eventually stop. I was just wondering in general how long it would take.

Sorry, no cookie cutter answers to this one, but usually: several. You have to read both the player and his likely holdings, adjusting your reads as you go along (just like in all your other hands ). For a good example when you might want to stop even before 2 bets, check out this recent thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...;Number=621470

I understand what you and the thread are saying. But...

1. Neither player will fold
2. At the start of the raising both thought they were ahead

I'd assume at some point a solid player without the nuts will figure the other player cannot dumb enough to continue unless they have the nuts. I was just wondering how long that might take.

Well...Here's an example:

You have AA and raise UTG...folded to Solid Button who 3 bets, blinds fold, you cap, he calls.

Flop is:
A K 7 rainbow

You bet, he raises, you call.

Turn: [A K 7] 2 (completing the rainbow)

You check, he bets, you raise, he 3 bets, you 4 bet, he 5 bets, you 6 bet, he calls.

If the river is a duece, I would go 9 or 10 bets before I give him credit for pocket dueces.

If the river is a King, I may only go 4 or 5 before I give him credit for KK.
