Default Bellagio lost power today? (11 April)

Just saw a teaser for the 10pm news. Bellagio sent its guests to other hotels and employees were sent home. Anybody in the poker room when this happened?

How did they handle it? What happened? etc.

I was at the Mirage, and the room was overflowing from all the Bellagio players coming to play there. All I know is that Bellagio lost power and kicked everyone out of their poker room. I ended up leaving rather than wait *another* 75 minutes to get in. Sklansky was playing 150-300 stud in the middle of the room, right next to a 3-6 holdem game. That was kind of funny.

Just saw the story on the local Fox affiliate.

Reports state that some were playing poker with flashlights.

Please post pics.

When I got to the Mirage at about 7pm, there was the 150-300 stud game that Clark mentioned, as well as the 2000-4000 game (I think, might have been 1000-2000... they were playing with purple chips), and one other game that looked to be in the 150-300 range, as well as two 40-80 games, the Sunday tournament, and like two bazillion smaller games.

The room was so packed, you had to push your way through a crowd sometimes to get where you were going. The poor Mirage hasn't seen action like that in a long time.

I was at the Mirage at about 10:00pm and the waiting lists were still hours long.

The Bellagio was still dark after 1:30am. I heard at both the Mirage and Monte Carlo that a truck hit something (possibly a transformer) and that caused the power outage.

LOL. Got to avoid being "contaminated" by those lowly 3-6 players.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that the early reports of a truck hitting something were incorrect.

I'm kind of wondering about the reports of playing poker by flashlight.

Isn't the WPT tournament supposed to be on now?

i was playing in the 15/30 in the bellagio when it lost power.

the lights had been flickering all night so i had most of my chips racked jsut in case. However, while the main lights went out the auxillary lights were still fine leaving plenty of light to play cards. the slots machines were all out though which was pretty eery.

The funniest thing was, the lights go out, there's about a 3 second pause, then the dealer saying 'sir i need your blind' and it was back to the action.
