Default WPT - Borgatta again next week?

What's going on with the WPT and 2nd season re-runs? Is it really the government.... or what?

The story I heard was that the new shows scheduled for about now were hosted/sponsored by off-shore dot.com casinos. Due to new restrictions on advertising these casinos, the shows are being re-edited to remove these politically incorrect references. God knows the government must protect us from ourselves, since we are too ignorant and incompetent to make our own decisions.

I highly doubt that this is the reason.

The DOJ did issue something saying that they didn't want media companies to accept advertising from online gambling companies. But I doubt that's why the WPT is showing reruns.

I noticed the World Series of Blackjack on GSN had advertisements from internet casinos.

You mean Tom McEvoy isn't going to be able to sell the cheat sheet on Tournament Poker with the hand percentages........... you see what I mean.

The following is a post on RGP:

I'm not 100% on this, but I'm quite sure it has something to do with the
.com shows. I believe they had to redo the UB, PokerStars, and PartyPoker
tournaments. Not sure the exact reason for it, but I'm assuming it had
something to due with legal issues.
Again, don't quote me on any of this it's just what I heard through the
grapevine.

OK, I can't resist...

Did you just quote a guy who SPECIFICALLY said NOT to quote him on any of it?

OOPS!! I screwed up. That was supposed to be a total secret just between me and Daniel. And a couple thousand people on RGP. I know none of them repeated it. My bad! Forget you read that. And don't quote me, please.

I included the to make sure you knew I was merely making a joke. I can't really tell if you are or not, but either way, this thread's question has been answered plenty of times, I'm sure...
