Default mucking TT pf

Late in tournament - about 5 players away from making the money. Avg stack size in LP with BB on highest stack. Dealt TT and chose to muck. BB had 5x my stack and I have less than 10BB. Good choice?

Was it folded to you? If so I think mucking is not a good choice. I would probably move all-in.

In LP in a limit tourney I would ram and jam with pocket tens.

Here's why I don't like this. I'm in a decent position now, and by playing a mid pair like this against a guy who has nothing to lose and everything to gain can play back at me. Lots of chances to flop overcards and can be very expensive.

As it turns out, my choice to hang put in 7th place - decent, but not great finish, but it made me money.
