Default Trip Report - Chip Buyin! My Chips Came in.

My chips are in!! For a history up to this point go here.

Also check here for the artwork they did.

I must say these are better than expected!

They arrived packed very well in acrylic chip racks via airborne express. The artwork is Exactly like the one I approved and the weight and feel is excellent. They even sound nice.

I tried to take some pics. Some of the closer ones are fuzzy as my hands aren't that steady - but you'll get the point:

Overall I am more than satisfied with the service, chips, and price. A good experience through and through. I can't wait to challenge the wife to a heads up match with real chips instead of pennies.

If your gonna spend the money for custom chips take a look at thechipstore.com - they have treated me very well.

Wherever you go make sure to get samples first and get an artwork proof. If anyone has questions ask away.

Seeing your own chips all racked up like that must be fantastic.

Thanks for posting the pics and history, I wish you many fun and fruitful sessions with them.

Damn. Those sure are sexy. I'm definately getting some. I just have to get on this whole artwork bit first. I have a friend designing a pic for me.

Thanks for the report and being a semi-gunie pig...

Do you own a cardroom? What was the reasoning behind buying all of these chips. Also I think for a cardroom, 700 would not be nearly enough.

I had a good month and these were a treat. I figured if I was gonna buy chips I would spend the extra money and get custom.

It will be nice when playing with the family to have "family" chips.

Very very nice chips!

They look similar to the chips at the Palms or the Luxor in Las Vegas. Is my assumption correct? Those chips I'm thinking of tend to be flat, there is no recess in the middle like many other casino chips.

Once again, congrats on the fine looking chips!

Thanks!

Yes they are the same Chipco Protech chips that the Palms uses. No Recess - 10 gram...they shuffle well.

Very nice.

Must be a total gas to have a one-of-a-kind set like that.

What size are those? .39mm? I thought I read somewhere you were trying to pull strings to get them to be .33mm cause that's the standard or something in casinos and they dont have that as an option?

No I was thinking of getting 43 mm chips - european size. These are 39mm - standard size.
