mini trip report fridays $300+40 NEPC no limit holdem

Got there thur 2:30 went to satalite area, 60$ by-in gets you 3 lamers and $150 cash, 15$ entry fee per player lots of folks complaining about the juice, I thought it was fair.
put my name on the list, 2 hrs later got called, chopped the pot, decided rather than invest in another sat would post the rest and pre register, registered at 8pm and was already put upstairs as the ballroom was full, talked to Mike Ward about a cap, he sd they would try to put everyone in as long as they had seats and tables.
as per other report, 1100 registered with alternates that went in as people busted, some complaints about that, some folks just like to complain!.

started at 10:20 after they fit everyone in, I was 12 to a table and had the 5 seat(great [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] ).
very tight table, other tables were fast paced and players were building huge stacks, we plodded along and I was card dead, I mean dead but managed to double my stack by stealing pots with junk. round 2 my stack ended at $t2200, rounds are 40 minutes and you started with T1000..
by end of round 3 we lost 300+ playes and I was at T2300.
then the big stack shows up, 30K +, things picked up, I raised all in with A,K and got called by a larger stack with QQ, rivered K doubled me up and I can brethe again.
big stack raised my blind, I had AA yea, called, checked a ragged flop, big stack raises 2K , I raise all-in, 850 more he has to call getting 7-1 and flips up K 4 off. doubled up again and at 16K after round 5, at 5:20 were on dinner break, they say 122 left and were moving down stairs, I have 14K and there are some hefty 60-80 k stacks floating around.
return at 6:30 and resume to go card dead again, 8-2, 7-3, 2-3, 4-2 you know the scene, can't even steal as someone else is always in in front of me, finaly in BB, folded to SB who raises min and I push with no call. repeat that 2 orbits later, am at 10K and we are anteing now, down to 54 players and I am moved. 6 tables left, 3 of them have players with huge stacks and the other 3 have all players with between 6k and 30k , moved to a passive table of small stacks but still can't steal because someone always in in front of me and my all-in would be called because of my low chip count. twice folded to me in BB and I gather chips.
down to 44 and I'm moved again, on the button get KQ and push to get called by BB with AJ, no help and I'm gone in 43'rd, 11 hrs later outlasted 1053 players and get paid zero.
can't complain as I like the 27 places paid Idea, if you get in the money you make something ! hated the get your money back only low end pay outs, for the better players this new payout is far superior to the tex tears pay-out.
considering I never got any cards not even small to medium prs I did well, always played to win, never to survive.
considering the large field, it was a well run tourney, I have traveled the tourney circut for 4 years now and always like foxwoods the best, the staff deserves a pat on the back, I like the structure and formats better than any other tournies and with exception to the lack of quick food outlets look forward to playing there. yes there are always issues with new dealers when expanding to cover the overflow, the issues I saw were handled professionally and smoothly.
odds and ends::::
Can't beleive the number of foxwoods regulars who constantly complain , try playing in other casinos then you won't be so quick to complain, I always bite my tounge though as comments usually fall on deaf ears when trying to point this out to a player. ring games all had lists 150+ long, but after 11 pm games opened up and were still good.
played to 3am thur night and friday night making 300+ both nights in the 5-10 kill hold-em games.
had other commitments so couldn't stay for sundays$500 buyin
