Default Too weak?

UTG here is the same as the button in my other post. He has show down a lot of Ax in EP.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls, MP calls, Hero raises, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, UTG calls, MP calls.

Pretty standard here preflop.

Flop: (9 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, UTG bets, MP folds, Hero calls, SB calls.

I have been raising my overcards here lately trying for free cards on the turn, maybe I should have here too? I hate this call.

Turn: (6 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, UTG raises, Hero folds, SB folds.

Now I'm in a pickle, either UTG just made his straight, or hit two pair with his Ax, and the SB comes alive, what does he have? I exit stage left, and we'll never know.

Final Pot: 9 BB

Results in white below:
No showdown. UTG wins 9 BB.

How do you play this?

Default Re: Too weak?

i need a bucket

raise the flop - in this game some idiot is betting his flush draw or K5o from early position - its right to fold sometimes and against the right opponent every now and then i will but i think raise is a truckload better than call

as for the turn - eeek - your problems started on the flop and simply multiplied when the turn arrived - i refuse to express a view because if it happened to me i would be too emotional about my poor choice on the flop to make a rational assessment

this has happened to me - i adopted a zero tolerance for calling as one method of solving the problem - i didnt do it for long but i played for a while with the rule that i wasnt allowed to call - raise or fold - its not the worst tactic - what i got from my experiment was an appreciation of why its a reasonable tactic such that it didnt feel so hard to spew some chips about when things werent going all my way (i did develop an unhealthy phobia about drawing hands from early position but i subsequently got over that)

ultimately you decide to play your overcards on the flop - hit one whilst avoiding a flush buy - and folded - the nausea is overpowering me...

This is not an easy hand to play. If you do raise the flop however, you're likely to make SB fold. If UTG doesn't 3-bet then he may CR the turn, then what do you do?

I'm with strips, raise the flop and bet the turn.

I'd also raise the flop. This bet could very well be from a draw.

Default my opinion is different...

I think this is a fold on the flop.

3 handed you are very very likely drawing to a 6 outer AT BEST.

With a 2 flush on the board and 3 of your outs making a single card straight possible I think it's a fold. Please show me why I'm wrong.

The story is different if UTG and MP were still in the hand, or the flop came 236, 2 flush....

One player is betting, there is no need to think he is sitting with a 6. If you raise and SB is folding (maybe folding with a 6 to an inside?) you got 4 outs for a straight and 6 outs for toppair + a chance he is betting a draw or lower overcards then yours.

I would fold something like KJ or QT, but probably not AQ bewcause its a very good chance that those 6 outs are clean + straightdraw worth something.

This could be a case where two people are drawing, and A-Q is still the better hand.
