Default 9-18 at the Palms?

A while back I remember reading here that the Palms in Vegas was going to start spreading 9-18 with $3 chips. Does anyone know if that in fact has happened? If so, can anyone who has played there comment on it?

Thanks.

Hi,

It was not going when I was in there on Wednesday. I was told they will have it when the expansion is complete. Which should be by tonight or sometime this weekend.

Best of luck

Howard

I just got in from a night of playing at the Palms. I played the 4-8, 6-12 and the 9-18 tonight/this morning. There were also two no-limit games going all night.

The 9-18 was very good. The place is almost always packed though.

btw, the 9-18 has a rake of....

$1 on $20, $1 on $40 & $1 on $80 ($3max).

I think the expansion looks great!

Best Wishes

Howard

How many tables did they expand to Howard? The last time I was there, they had about 5-6 in a VERY tight room.

I still enjoyed playing there. They had .01 slots to keep my wife busy, and at that rate, it was +EV for me.

Hi Joe,

They took one table out of the old area (to give it more room) and put 4 tables in the old Keno area. For a total of 10 tables (not a big room but a BIG improvement).

Best of Luck

Their crappy $3 and $6 blind structure for the 9-18 virtually ensures it only goes on friday and saturday evenings IMO. The new room is very nice and spacious though.

Default 3/6 blind in the 9/18?

I was assured a couple of weeks ago that the 9/18 would have a 2 chip 3 chip blind (6/9).

Haven't been there since the expansion, is it really a 3 and 6 blind??? Say it ain't so.

It is so. Ed and I had a discussion with the room manager, and while he said he would experiment (basically to get us to go away), it was pretty clear he was going to stick with the $3 and $6 structure.
