Yesterday I had Q9s in the BB, raised in early position, with like the rest of the table calling cold. So I throw in another bet to see the flop.
Flop comes Q J 5, checked to me, I bet, EP raises, whole damn table calls 2 cold, I call. Turn comes Q, so I bet again, EP raises, a bunch of people drop out. Well, I guess he has a Q, probably AQ, but pot is huge, gonna go to the show down. River comes 5, so I bet again, he raises, I figure we're gonna split so why re-raise and give Party another quarter, so I call. He flips over JJ for the now smaller boat, and I suck out with my runner-runner full house. I felt so bad I almost apologized....hehe. |

I've been told (but never seen it proven until now), how much Valium can improve your disposition while playing online poker. Opps, the wife's calling the doctor now . . . . .

I guess I can give my suckout story now.
I have AA and raise, I get a bunch of callers as usual and the flop comes [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I don't have the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I bet, some calls, a guy raises, I 3-bet. Only the guy calls. Turn is an A. He bets, I raise, he 3bets ... uh oh. River fills me up. He bets, I raise. He calls. Of course he had the nut flush and I went runner runner to beat him. Even I had to cringe a bit at that one. |

Sounds similar to a suckout I had the other day.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (7 handed) converter Hero ($46.65) BB ($34.80) UTG ($36) MP1 ($103.90) MP2 ($27.30) CO ($35.34) Button ($24.25) Preflop: Hero is SB with A, J. UTG calls $0.50, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, CO calls $0.50, Button folds, Hero raises to $2, BB calls $1.50, UTG calls $1.50, CO calls $1.50. Flop: ($8) 5, J, Q (4 players) Hero bets $2, BB calls $2, UTG folds, CO raises to $4, Hero calls $2, BB calls $2. Turn: ($20) J (3 players) Hero checks, BB checks, CO bets $15, Hero raises to $40.65 (All-In), BB folds, CO calls $14.34 (All-In). River: ($89.99) J (2 players, 2 all-in) Final Pot: $89.99 Results in white below: Hero shows As Js (four of a kind, jacks). CO shows 5c 5d (full house, jacks full of fives). Outcome: Hero wins $89.99. I too felt kinda bad but it was nice being on the other end. I was surprised the guy didn't blow up over it. |
