Default A two man show

Here is a hand to review. Table is moderate for party standards. MP hasn't stood out as anything but a normal player to me.

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG folds, MP calls, Hero raises, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls, MP calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP bets, Hero calls, SB folds, BB folds.

*I simply called here waiting to raise him on the turn when the bets were more expensive.

Turn: (5 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP bets, Hero raises, MP calls.

River: (9 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets, MP calls.

Final Pot: 11 BB
Main Pot: 11 BB, between MP and Hero.

I'm still a pretty new player but I would of raised the flop. You say you want to wait but it's not like you have a monster. Win this pot now.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you're correct. Especially with the two diamonds on the board you have to wonder if there's someone out there drawing to a flush and you want to charge them for that.

if you are heads up for the flop i think waiting to raise the turn is ok, but since you have players still in the pot i think making them call 2 is a better play...you don't want someone with second or bottom pair hitting a five outer because you didn't raise the flop...
