Game is currently 6 handed and dying out. Tight reasonable player makes a raise utg and gets called by SB. I'm in the BB with K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and decide to call. I reraise here with this hand about 50% of the time. Three to see the flop for 2 sb's each.
Flop-Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checks, I check and PFR makes the almost manditory bet. SB mucks and I checkraise. He calls. Headsup to turn with 5 bb's in the pot. Turn-Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I lead out and get raised. I muck. Sidenote: I've played with this player many times and he knows I'm very tight and capable. Thoughts? Pipedream |

Since Queens with a King kicker loses to a set of Jacks, Queens with and Ace kicker, pocket Kings, and pocket Aces, I like your fold.
Because let's face it, you're beat. What's he holding--QT? |

Yeah, exactly, especially if your opponent will not make this move with AJ, TT, or a big draw. I'll assume there was no flushdraw on board?

Do you see a flushdraw on that board poindexter?

Surely he'd raise here with KQ as well - probably taking a free showdown at the river if you call the raise. There are more ways to be beat here than to chop (and few ways to win), but more than this is relevant to the decision in question.
