Im starting to use poker tracker. Instead of just putting the hands in im trying figure out how to best use tracker to improve. But i need some advice on how to read the stats so i know what to look for (or avoid) to help my play. For instance on the general info tab here are some of my stats. i know 1400 hands isnt much but its a start.

game_level $0.50/$1

total_hands 1154
vol. $ in pot 31.7
vol. $ from SB 51.7

won $ wsf% 29.8
amount won 191.75
BB/100 hands 16.
went to SD% 34.73
won $ at SD% 54.43
PF raise % 7.8
rake $56.5

My advice would be to play tighter. Your VP$P is way too high. In the long run I don't think you can win playing that loosely. Mine is more like 12-15 in those games, although I am a rock. At least, try to get the number around 20%.
However, the amount that you have won indicates that you have been getting monster cards and/or hitting the flop extremely hard. So, I also suggest continuing to get monster cards and flopping two pair/trips/straights.

It looks like you ran extremely well over the last thousand hands. It's not going to last if you keep putting in money 1/3rd of the time.

Get your VP$IP down to 20% and keep your preflop raising in the 5%-7% range. You will have dropped a bunch of marginal hands that are probably not long-term winners. It may not be as exciting at first (bring a book), but it's much better than making a lot of second best hands.
