Default Your generic \"Raise this river?\" post - but reply anyway!

No good reads an any of them except MP1, who's PF% was undoubtedly 100.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold 'Em (8 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, Hero raises, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls.

Flop: (11 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks, Hero bets, SB calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls.

Turn: (8 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks, Hero bets, SB folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 calls.

River: (11 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
MP1 checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls, MP1 calls.

Final Pot: 14 BB

It's very possible MP2 has JK or J8, but I don't know how likely. What's your play on this river?

You've got to raise the river here. You're missing bets by just calling.

Just my two cents.

You only had the opportunity to raise once pre-flop, so they're probably not going to give you credit for AA. All kinds of hands will pay you off here. So, you knew it was coming - raise the river!

heads up i'd probably raise, but with MP1 tagging along behind, i'd say a call might be right. unless you knew MP1 could be counted on to call 2 bets more here. but if you just call, you'll get an additional bet out of MP1, as well as saving yourself 2 bets the times MP2 really did stick around with KJ (not that unlikely, in my experience party 2/4 players will often play any 4-to-braodway hand as if it were an open-ended draw).

could be i'm too weak here, but two things i don't like: 1)a party cs waking up on the river 2)driving out a different party cs who would have called otherwise

Default RESULTS

MP1 had Ax (no surprise there) and MP2 had TT for a set of tens and MHIG. I definatly did not consider a rivered set.

Two interesting points were brought to my attention by Ninja and Chaos. The fact that MP1 might not call 2 bets and that I could be re-raised by MP2 makes calling the correct play. It definatly is +EV in the long run if you really think about it. On the other hand Chaos noted that it would be hard for them to put me on AA since I hadn't gotten the chance to put in a raise save for preflop. Still, I think calling was correct. Thanks guys, great advice.

Knowing that MP1 was super-loose I would raise the river every time here. You're going to see AT or something a lot more often than a hand that beats you. Also, if he had the straight, I would think he would go for the checkraise. Usually when I am bet into on a river like this it means that somebody improved their hand but are afraid to C/R because they think you might 3-bet.
