Default Ax ?

Lately I have been folding any A7 or lower, unless I am on my blind, is this a correct play. How do you all play your Ax?

I'll limp in with A4 or better. However, I play it very tight with a low A-x if I only have a A-pair following the flop, and will fold it if I see any strength elsewhere.

You should be folding Ax unless its folded to you in CO/button and you believe a raise will give you a decent chance of winning the blinds. Never limp with it, its essentially garbage.

Emmitt, if you are gonna play it tightly/fold Ax when an ace flops, why not just dump it preflop? What are you hoping for? 2 pair?

That's exactly the reason Ax is trash, because even when you hit your top pair, you can't play it strongly enough to make any money with it.

You really should consider not playing anything lower than AJo in EP, maybe down to ATo or MAYBE A9o later on, if the table is pretty passive.

A8o and lower? dump that cheese every time.

I agree, dump anything below ATo. You will lose money on anything less with no straight possiblitlies and betting on middle and low pairs when they hit on the flop. These hands do not hold up.

I don't play it unless it's AT or higher from late position or AJ or higher from early position and then I usually come out raising. I'll often even muck Ax from the small blind, depending on how many callers and how the game is.

Ax suited I limp in with from any position at most typical micro limit games. By typical I mean very loose and usually very passive. At any decent games with less to the flop and more raising pf I'll only play Ax suited from later positions.
