Received this email:

You were forwarded to us as a serious poker player. We have openings for those players looking to be funded. The deal is simple and basic....we fund your account for 50% of the profits and we assume all losses.

For a confidential interview, please email:

with:

I am interested in your Poker Deal.....

in the subject line.

We will then contact you via email to arrange your interview.

SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY.


Anyone else get something like this? Is this a scam?

Maybe I watch too much TV, but Las Vegas had an episode where a Hold'em player was being fronted some cash and things didn't go so well for him when he lost!

Well, there ain't nothing for free, so yeah, I'd be very suspicious.

Could easily be some money laundering scheme. Why else would anybody make this kind of offer to a stranger?

I'd sure be interested to learn the rest of the details though....

well... i followed up and have a phone interview... maybe i should create NEW poker accounts, not gonna give them my existing information...
