Canadians upset at Conan O\'Brien
Canucks are mighty upset that they spent $$$ to repair their broken tourism machine by bringing the 'Late Night' show north of the border:
...Triumph asked a rotund man if he was a separatist, then suggested he might want to separate himself from doughnuts for a while. The skit also replaced street signs with insulting replicas, including one that mocked Canadian singer Celine Dion. Get over yourselves. You look like a bunch of pansies. ".....hey lady, you knew I was a snake when you picked me up."

I agree it's all in good humor...
but what if conan went to compton and decided to humiliate and debase blacks based on the fact they were black? And threw racial slurs at them. Insult thier culture.. Is that ok too? Matt Ps: Dont get me wrong.. I laughed at it too.. but it's food for thought. Racism is still rampant.. You just need to target it at the acceptable minorities. It used to be blacks and Jews. Today it's arabs and the french.

Hey, I like Star Wars... not enough to dress up but... the sketch where Tdog rips moviegoers in full costume outside the theatre is classic...
And they would know better in Compton. They might have watched the show there.

And as to wasting money.. Our government has wasted so much money you wouldn't believe it.
It's the current political whirlwind. I'll be relieved if we don't find out we actually gave Conan 1 billion. Matt

I think they would know better than to do it in compton, etc....
Is because it just would NOT be acceptable. By anyones standards, even Conans.. the network.. etc... They wouldn't DREAM of degrading and insulting blacks or Jews baased on thier color/culture. But if you target your racial slurs at the right monority.. the 'safe' targets. Then it's ok. And if anyone complains.. they're babies. Matt

I grew up in the Arkansas Ozarks. If there's any minority that society OK's insulting, it's hill people.

the star wars one was classic. one of the funniest things ive ever seen. my favorite was when he was talking to the guy dressed like vader and says "which button tells your mother its time to pick you up?" or something like that. i laughed till i cried on that one.

this is why people dislike Canada, ya'll are a bunch of babies. Its jokes, comedians push the envelope, they make fun of stereotypes and biases. Most of the do it to point out how ridiculous they are. Grow up Canada, you guys shouldn't be so touchy. There are some funny mf'ers from Canada, do you think they are offended?
