Default is this a fold a good player would make?

5 handed

i'm in co with AJo

utg+1 calls, i raise. Button raises.
sb calls, i call.

3 to the flop [2d, Jh, 6c]
sb checks, i bet, button raises, sb folds. i 3bet. button caps.

turn [7d]

i check/fold.

a few things i can tell you about the button is he has been showing down the goods and hes a tight player.

i usually play the hand differently. I usually call the flop raise and go into call down mode unless i hit a card. What do yall think?

If he is a good, tight player that is showing down the goods, why did you three-bet him with a pair of Jacks. The best play here is to bet the flop, call his raise, and check/call on the turn. This way, you get to see an extra card for the same amount. Quite frankly, calling the flop and check/folding may be just as effective. The hands I put him on are AA, KK, QQ, and AJ. Basically, you want to see a showdown for as cheap as possible.

I would never fold this 5 handed.

No.

You are getting 10-to-1 on your turn call. You almost certainly have at least five outs if not the best hand. Folding is a big error.

Even if he shows you KK or QQ you should still call.

when you have AJo, you are better off w/ a jack coming than the ace. the reason being is that now you have tptk, rather than tp 3rd kicker. as we all know, generally it is best not to fold tptk, though sometimes it is necessary.(not in this case)

also, what other hands have you raised with against this person. have you been a loose raiser? have you bluff raised? he could be putting you on something other than what you have.

cheers!

I would not have folded this hand.

I would go into check call mode the entire way, unless I rivered an Ace or a Jack. Then I might bet or even check raise.
