Pot limit No limit forum - message for administrators

It would be nice if there were separate forums for Pot limit and no limit poker on this site. Any chance of creating individual forums for the two formats?

because they are different games and I'd prefer to not have to wade through all the posts about NL when I want to read about PL.

There are separate forums for 1 table and multi table tournaments, low limit, mid limit and high limit, so why not PL and NL?

It might be nice, but I don't think there is nearly enough PL traffic to justify its own forum. The tourney forum was split because 1-table tourneys are so popular and the startegies are so different it just made sense to split them, and as you can see both forums are still getting plenty of traffic.

Good point Nottom. But I have to believe that a PL forum would get at least as much traffic as Stud or Probability, wouldn't it? I for one agree that it would be nice to have a place for information that is specifically related to PL (Which can be VERY different from NL in some aspects). Anyone willing to put up a poll on this? (I don't know how)

Make it an understood practice to put PL or NL in the header of posts?
That way, you can easily sort through the messages.
Browsing there quickly, a fair percentage do something similar already.

Maybe post on that forum that you'd like to adopt the new practice. Have PL, NL or equivilents (PLO, NLH, PLO8, etc) as the very first part of the Subject header, similar to this message.

In fact, I think I'll start doing that for all of my posts in any forum, if I can come up with one that applies and make sense- no point in posting in SS forum and putting "LLHE", but "3/6HE- " would work in Mid-High.... I should have thought of something so obvious before.

My uninformed opinion would be to NOT split the two into separate forums. I would think that the games, while demanding certain different skills and strategies, are enough alike that PL and NL players can gain from each others' experiences.... ?

I'd like:

A forum to talk about the snow in Syracuse (Snow Snow and Snow)

A forum to exclusively discuss obtaining my new poker chip set (Orange's Chips)

A forum to discuss why I hate my job (Job Hating)

A forum to discuss how to potty train my kids at 12 months (Potty or I Hate Diapers)

A forum to dicsuss Orangeheat's life, times, and achievments (Hail the Great Orangeheat)

And lastly a forum to discuss this weird rash I just found on my....(Oh SH*T)

I would hate to clutter the other boards with these topics.

Amusing. But your sarcasm is misplaced (I know, I know, sarcasm is never misplaced) because PL and NL are at LEAST as different as micro-limit and Small Stakes limit hold'em.
